Awake (One Step at a Time).

It has been over six years since our last album released, and since we last played live. We'd grown disillusioned, the effort was great, the reward was minimal, and the fun was lost. Whether things will ever return to what they were is unknown, but I have always said The Gifted was not dead, merely sleeping.

These past few days, I have found myself back in the studio, playing with new ideas. The drive to make music seems to have returned again. Awake.

I have been thinking about what this means. My focus now is my writing, my comic / graphic novel, and this will be my focus and priority for years to come. How does making music and The Gifted fit into this?

There are ideas and plans brewing, to make music again, but on my own terms at my own pace. I find myself at the beginning of a new project, with a clear goal, but I do not know how long it will take me to reach completion.
